Students in DivestNU said they were unsatisfied after discussing goals for divestment with members of Northeastern's Senior Leadership Team on Tuesday.
In a crowded room in Dockser Hall on the night of Oct. 6, Northeastern students gathered to listen to a panel of professors discuss how issues of race and gender are playing into the current presidential election.

Boston Police Department (BPD) reported an armed robbery with a firearm at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Columbus Avenue. Subjects fled the area toward Boston Medical Center in a black car with the Zipcar logo on the side. Northeastern University Police Department (NUPD) checked the area with negative results and BPD assumed jurisdiction.
Actress and activist Diane Guerrero shared her immigration story at Northeastern’s Blackman auditorium on Friday, Oct. 7. Guerrero, who grew up in Boston, said that when she was 14 years old, her Colombian parents and brother were deported, forcing her to grow up quickly and without the support of her immediate family.
Members of DivestNU, now in their second week of occupying Centennial Common, held a rally with alumni Tuesday and have agreed to move their tents out of the way for a Student Government Association (SGA) event scheduled for Friday.
