Entry of the week: Friday, Feb. 7, 3:11 a.m.
A caller from Allied trash removal reported a man asleep inside his vehicle in the Ryder Lot. The vehicle was on and in drive, and was moving forward every time the man moved. Officers reported the driver was intoxicated and unresponsive, and had vomited in the car. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were requested, and the man was woken and the car placed into park. The driver, a student, was transported to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and the car was towed.
Monday, Feb. 3
6:30 p.m.
A man was reported in the Shillman Hall Dunkin’ Donuts yelling loudly at staff about a refund. Officers responded and reported no one in the area was yelling and they saw no sign of the man. Officers spoke to staff, who stated the man came into the store and took some food, then argued with the staff before leaving towards the Veterans Memorial area.
6:52 p.m.
A student reported a stolen computer at the circulation desk in Snell Library. The student stated she left her MacBook Pro in Argo Tea for five minutes, and when she returned the computer was gone. The computer has a turquoise front and a blue cover.
7:30 p.m.
A student reported leaving his backpack unattended in InfoCommons area for about five minutes. When he returned, the backpack was gone. The backpack contained keys, a disk and personal papers.
Tuesday, Feb. 4
11:08 p.m.
A student reported his unattended black iPhone 5 was taken from the Marino Center. The student put his phone on the side of the basketball court while he was playing, and returned to find the phone gone.
Wednesday, Feb. 5
7:31 a.m.
An officer reported three males sleeping in the Starbucks in afterHOURS. Officers stopped three people with no Northeastern affiliations, and sent them on their way with trespass warnings.
Thursday, Feb. 6
11:34 p.m.
An Allied Security officer called police operations to report a heavy set male had entered the Ruggles substation and stated he was “a manager they don’t know about,” signed a roster and left towards Ruggles station. The subject was later stopped and arrested.
Friday, Feb. 7
12:45 a.m.
An RA in International Village reported a student left his ID in his room and requested his room be unlocked. The RA stated she responded to unlock the door, and the student had already had his friend bring his card to him. The student was, at the time of the report, refusing to show his ID to the proctor to swipe into the building. Officers responded and spoke to the student to advise him of the housing policy. The student later returned and refused to follow the housing policy again. Officers spoke to him a second time, and the student swiped in.
5:39 p.m.
Officers stopped a student outside of 150 Forsyth St. The student had been yelling and officers believed he had been kicking the door to the entrance. The student suffers from bipolar disorder and had not been taking his medication. A work order was placed for the shattered glass on the door, and the student will be called to the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (OSCCR)/We Care.
Saturday, Feb. 8
2:10 a.m.
A student reported his friend was highly intoxicated and had been vomiting. Officers requested EMS for the friend, who was conscious and semi-alert. The student was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
7:28 a.m.
Officers received a call about a student who had been struck in the face with a ball in the Cabot Center. The student’s eye was bleeding and puffy, and upon speaking to him, officers determined he had a concussion. The student was taken to Boston Medical Center. Upon further evaluation, the student was found to have been punched in the face by another student.
Sunday, Feb. 9
2:51 a.m.
A man was reported to have been passed out in the lobby of Stetson West. Officers spoke to the student who was conscious but not alert. The student became more alert as time went on and will be reported to OSCCR.
Monday, Feb. 10
7:35 a.m.
The manager at Wollaston’s Market reported he stopped two female high-school aged shoplifters. Both girls were released into custody of their headmaster.
3:40 p.m.
An officer reported a man carrying a leaf blower running down Columbus Avenue. When the officer stopped the subject, David L. Wise, he stated, “I didn’t steal nothing” spontaneously. The man was then checked and found to have two default warrants from Dorchester District court. Wise was placed under arrest.
6:13 p.m.
An employee at Dunkin’ Donuts in Shillman Hall reported a man in the lobby asking people for Dunkin’ Donuts cards. The employee believed it was the man from a previous case who acted disorderly toward staff the week prior. The man was sent on his way with a trespass warning.
9:24 p.m.
Police received a proctor duress call and a call from an emergency line stating a heavy set male, with curly hair and grey sweatpants entered the area stating he was there to relieve the proctor, and then left the area. Officers identified the man as a man already banned from campus.
