Sophomore defender Tristan Thompson is the first to enter the NCAA transfer portal for the women’s hockey team, according to the Gopher Puck Live transfer portal March 23.
After competing in the NCAA Frozen Four championships, the Manotick, Ontario native plans to conclude her chapter at Northeastern after two seasons.
Thompson has played 48 games in the Husky sweater. In her 2025-26 campaign, she racked up 35 shots and three assists.
The 6-foot-1 defender also had 21 blocks this season, attaining three blocks for a career-high against the College of the Holy Cross Jan. 29.
The Division I women’s hockey transfer portal opened March 23 and will remain open for 15 days, closing April 6.
