NU-sponsored poll indicates change needed in higher education

The results of a survey, commissioned by Northeastern University in an effort to examine the current public opinion of American higher education, indicate that most Americans believe higher education must change to stay competitive globally.

November master plan meeting cancelled

The men's soccer team earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament after winning the Colonial Athletic Association Championship 1-0 over Hofstra University in double overtime on Sunday. The Huskies will take on the Boston College Eagles at Parsons Field tonight at 7 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Across the nation, almost a million veterans are doing the same thing, and with the US finishing two wars in the Middle East, that number has grown.

Obituary: Kenneth Gilmore Ryder, former president of Northeastern University, died Oct. 29, 2012 at the age of 88. Ryder was the fourth president of Northeastern, serving the university for 14 years between 1975 and 1989.
