University files IMP notification form with city

Northeastern University on Friday filed its Institutional Master Plan notification form with the Boston Redevelopment Authority, providing a framework for its campus planning initiatives and development strategies over a period of about ten years. Among the projects under consideration is the development of the Columbus Lot as a complex for academic and research space. "The site provides an opportunity to strengthen Columbus Avenue as a main campus corridor and continues to the established momentum of expanding the Northeastern campus south across the MBTA tracks," according to the notification form.

Northeastern officials exploring smoke-free campus
