The Northeastern men’s soccer team (1-2-1, 0-1 CAA) lost to the cross-town rival Boston College Eagles 1-0 Sept. 2.
In the 10th minute, senior defender Rohin Kapila fouled senior midfielder Ask Ekeland inside the box, giving the Eagles a penalty kick. Ekeland netted the kick to make the score 1-0.
The Huskies failed to score in the first half, despite outshooting the Eagles 7-4. Freshman goalkeeper Andrej Borak made two saves for BC to prevent any further danger.
Going into the second half, Northeastern was seeking an equalizer.
The Huskies started off strong, with senior forward Fraser Brown claiming the first shot of the second half.
Graduate goalkeeper Tobias Jahn made three saves to keep the Huskies within striking distance.
At the end of the 90 minutes, the Huskies could not find an answer, being outshot 7-10 and losing the game 1-0.
Northeastern will look to bounce back in its second CAA matchup of the season against the Hofstra University Pride (1-2, 0-0 CAA) Sept. 6.
