In honor of the 10th annual Northeastern Service Day, students gathered in the Krentzman Quadrangle Saturday to enjoy a Dunkin’ Donuts breakfast and kickoff celebration before going out and serving an approximate 4,000 hours of community service.

Diehard Kid Cudi fans rejoiced last Friday as the artist returned to Boston for the first time since headlining Springfest 2013. As the sun sank down over the harbor, a line of eager fans grew outside the Bank of America Pavilion, extending almost half a mile down Seaport Boulevard.
The Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) gave new meaning to “Throwback Thursday” last week as it welcomed students to its college open house. Students from all around the city were invited to visit the Hippie Chic exhibit, which runs until Nov. 11. The museum encouraged students to dress up in their own hippie chic outfits while viewing the exhibit that showcases traditional fashion of the Woodstock Generation, as the MFA christened it.

On Tuesday Sept. 24, the Boston Bike Party upheld its reputation for being, in the words of co-founder and organizer Greg Hum, “the most fun you’ll ever have riding a bike with your friends.” This week’s Back to School party is the 5th ride in the bike party series that began in May.

Flash dance mobs are so last season. This year it’s all about the flash fashion shows. Fashion collaborative, 19th Amendment, will launch a series of fashion shows throughout the night, all taking place on the streets of Boston. The company is all about democratizing fashion, so the shows will include many up-and-coming designers who will be given a chance to showcase their work and gain support from the public. There will be a series of three shows: one at 5:30 p.m. on Newbury Street, the second at 6:30 p.m. at the Prudential Center and the third at 7:30 p.m. at Faneuil Hall.
