As heavy snow fell on Boston and locals needed shovels to dig themselves clear of the inclement weather, the men’s basketball team was in the midst of trying to dig itself clear of an inclement stretch. An 86-60 loss to visiting George Mason last night dropped the Huskies to 4-12 overall and 0-5 in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). The loss was Northeastern’s sixth consecutive defeat.

Sophomore guard Afreyea Tolbert scored a career-high 18 points to aid the women’s basketball team in a 69-56 win over William & Mary at Solomon Court Sunday. Alongside Tolbert, junior guards Jamie Conroy and Kashaia Cannon added eight and 14 points, respectively.

Swimming & Diving: Squad trains in Puerto Rico

The swimming & diving team had the pleasure of traveling to Puerto Rico during winter break from Jan. 2-9. The trip served as an opportunity for the team to bond and train for the rest of the season, all while soaking up some much needed sun.
