Quailer, Ferriero out against UMass-Amherst

According to tweets, junior forward Steve Quailer will miss the next three weeks with an ACL/MCL strain, and sophomore winger Cody Ferriero will sit out the rest of the season after undergoing season-ending knee surgery.

Three-pointers can’t lift Huskies

When the men’s basketball team last met Drexel University Jan. 21 in Philadelphia, a vast disparity in three point shooting between the Dragons and Huskies allowed Drexel to cruise to a 71-53 victory. Northeastern managed to shoot only two of 10 beyond the arc in that game while Drexel was a scorching nine of 14.

NU advances to Beanpot final after shootout

Tuesday night’s semifinal round of the 34th Annual Women’s Beanpot between the United States College Hockey Organization (USCHO) No. 7 Huskies and the No. 4 Boston College Eagles had to be decided by a shootout, after 1-1 tie at Walter Brown Arena.

Men’s hockey playoffs in jeopardy after fourth-consecutive loss

The Huskies lost a pair of pivotal league games last weekend, dropping back-to-back match-ups in a home-and-home series against No. 14 UMass Lowell, 4-0, Friday and 3-2 in overtime Saturday. The losses set the Huskies back to 8-11-3 overall and 4-11-2 in Hockey East, good for only 10 points in the league.
