According to a statement issued by members of the student section, known as the DogHouse, a student filed a report with Northeastern’s Office for University Equity and Compliance after they were offended by alleged slurs on the fan section’s official chant sheet.
The Huskies reaffirmed last weekend’s road defeat of the Terriers, dominating their crosstown rivals Friday in front of a soldout Matthews Arena, including a Doghouse fan section that packed both sides of the balcony. The win came in spite of a starting lineup lacking injury-plagued seniors Dylan Sikura and Garret Cockerill. Junior forwards Adam Gaudette and Lincoln Griffin each had two goals in the 6-1 effort.

With 0.1 seconds remaining in the first period, fourth-year forward and captain Nolan Stevens snuck the puck under BU second-year goaltender Jake Oettinger, sending the Terriers stunned into intermission.
Aston-Reese went to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh’s AHL affiliate, where he’s preparing for his professional career with the Penguins. During his first game March 21, Aston-Reese scored his first professional goal in the first period of his career with the Penguins.

In its final conference game of the calendar year, the Northeastern University (NU) men’s hockey team dropped a tough 5-3 game at Conte Forum against the Boston College Eagles.
Over the last two weeks, the Northeastern men’s hockey team landed two crucial wins over tough opponents, but also lost two one-goal games. On Nov. 18, the Huskies earned a 5-4 win over the No. 19 Providence Friars before falling to the Friars on Nov. 19 with the score flipped. The Huskies did their Black Friday shopping in the third period on Nov. 25 against the No. 11 Minnesota Golden Gophers, scoring four goals in the final frame to win 6-4. In their return to Hockey East play on Tuesday, the Huskies were beaten 2-1 by the No. 4 Boston College (BC) Eagles.
