Eamonn Ryan is a first-year journalism major and Deputy Sports Editor of The News. He is also the beat reporter for Men’s Basketball. Before his role as Deputy Sports Editor, he was a news correspondent for both the Campus and Sports sections and was a beat writer for Women’s Swimming and Diving. He is excited to report on the outcomes of games but also highlight all members of Northeastern Athletics and their impact on collegiate athletics. With restrictions on social gatherings, students, both on-campus and remote, have had to use virtual methods to try and communicate with fellow classmates and potential friends. Before even coming to campus, new students began socializing with each other through social media, especially through the Northeastern 2024 Facebook group.
